time to get back to reporting on a wee magic river in glasgow not very well appreciated by fishermen that i know of anyway the white cart river

I've a couple of permits to get this year as I want to try out a few spots I've not fished for a while ,like the stretch rite down to the falls in paisley.
                                                I also enjoy the stretch from busby through Pollock estate I'm sure I'm going to get a great fish out one of these patches this year, so wish me luck and for once I'm going to try all methods and not just the flee which is without a doubt my preferred way to fish as the excitement beats all other fishing methods in my opinion , and the great people you meet up the cart is just brilliant ,,,who said fishermen were all mad and unstable ,,,,, with a few exceptions including myself we are by large good and approachable people .
                                                                                                                                                                         will add more when I get those tickets which in a way I really don't think we should need to buy as like the estate it is a public park and don't that mean the public own it in general along with the city council.
                                                                                                                                          I am going to try to add a little more to the technics etc. this year encase it can help anyone.

a day foraging

well today was just that a day of foraging the mid section of the busby cart beat and through from Pollock estate to Linn park golf course I never caught a single fish ,,,no surprise for me I know they are their its just when they switch on is when  things will change and I know that will be very soon as I see the real changes on the river bank and in the weather change all in favour of fishing fly conditions ,,,,so im looking forward to this opening of the gates and the start of many a good blog day when I can really give the info needed for others to get into the enjoyment of the cart on their doorstep and also get to see the pictures of beauty that live just under our feet in the very heart of Glasgow .

                  I know the cart is always going to be a challenge as far as producing a specimen brown trout or sea trout or salmon but isn't it going to be a great day when I can show you all just what's their ,,,as today I thought I would ask the near by community to give their answer if asked if they would be willing to sign a petition to get the local river tested and cleaned up more on a regular basis ,,,,not saying it happens at all now and the resounding voice was "YES" and I was elated ,,,just think over the next couple of years we could have a river with as much enthusiasm as the kelvin behind it ,,,,,wow is what I say and I hope u guys that fish the river get right behind me and get out looking for the right way forward for us to get the cart back on the map as a great trout and salmon river.

The Walton Angling club seems to have one of the best run clubs on the cart and that why I am going to do my dam best to get a permit for that area too.

                                                                                I know of one crown bailiff on the river who works the Clyde system as I am to believe and that's Robert who is a very nice genuine guy ,so if any you guys come across this man always listen as he has a bag of knowledge and is always willing to offer tips and "tales" which always adds to the days fishing.
                                                                                      I am off in the morning to a wee renowned ,and if u ask me one of the best fishing shops around for personal service and I should not even need to mention its name ,,,but here goes its Tackle And Gun on pollockshaws rd  ,,a service I just don't feel u get anywhere else these days ,,and yes the angling centre is great and is big and has all the gear you'll ever need but these other guys have been here supplying from day one and I think its time we should give them some gratitude for the time they have given through the good and the down right near closure times ,,,,"THANK SO MUCH GUYS".

well I will try to get the camera along today or Monday if I can get a season ticket for the upper cart and if not ill get a day ticket but I full membership is what I need and im going to do whatever I can to try to get one,,,,good luck everyone this year on the white cart ,,I for one cant wait to get wading and casting my 7 ft. 3-4 weight or my 8ft 5-6 weight on the river as I am only a fly fisherman at heart so ,again ill say I look forward to meeting new people and new friend on the cart ,,,,,,,and one last saying ive always loved to here from fellow fisher men or by standees ,,and that's  "COME ON THE FISH".


Ill be back in the next few days if not hours if I can get my permit ok guys and I can assure you plenty of video and plenty of pictures with sum stunning and I mean stunning fish along the way from now until the end of this season I HOPE..

I also intend to get the Walton ticket in the next few days or weeks if possible and really look forward to seeing a bit of the cart I have never seen, so ill be looking forward to that.
